Database can potentially save businesses thousands of dollars

HENDERSON, Nev. – Henderson Libraries is now offering a free market research database, Business Decision, for businesses. Funded by an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant, the service is free to the public.

“We are excited to make the business community aware about this new resource,” said Matt Hortt, head of adult services for Gibson Library. “I have demoed the program for some local business groups, and they told me that many large companies pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for the same information.”

Using the database, patrons can conduct extensive market research such as how to target their advertising, find out where their customers live, analyze how far customers have to drive to get to them, how to compete with competitors and more.
